St. Pius Senior Secondary School is an undertaking of Khandwa Diocesan Education Society and is run under the aegis of Khandwa Diocese which was established in 1977.
With the motto " Radiating Light", the School began its function in 1983 in a rented house at the initiative and guidance of Late Archbishop Most Reverence Abraham Viruthakulangara. This was the first English medium school under taken by Khandwa Diocese in Nimar Region. Khandwa Dicoese has established several Educational institutions under the able guidance of Late Archbishop Most Reverence Abraham Viruthakulangara and Archbishop Leo Cornelio, both former bishops of Khandwa, and now under the leadership of the incumbent bishop of Khandwa Most Rev. Sebastian Durairaj. Khandwa Diocesan Education Society, the education sector of Khandwa Diocese, is one of the pioneers and largest in the Nimar Region with a total of 27 schools and nearly 1300 staff involved in the mission of educating around 25,000 students spread across the districts of Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone and Barwani.
At St. Pius Family, we are about 2500 students, 100 qualified and dedicated teachers and non-teaching staff, thousands of parents and millions of well-wishers.
